Agumbe, often called the Cherrapunji of the South, is a rainforest region famous for its sunset viewpoint, heavy monsoon greenery and as prime king-cobra habitat. Sringeri is home to the Sharada Peetham, the first monastery established by Adi Shankaracharya, with the elegant Vidyashankara temple and tame fish gliding through the Tunga river.
In between lie coffee and areca estates, seasonal waterfalls and cool, forested ghat roads — a refreshing change of scenery and a photographer's favourite, especially in and just after the monsoon.

- The monsoon is the most spectacular season for greenery and waterfalls, but ghat roads are wet and slower. Our local chauffeurs know the safe routes and pace the drive carefully.
- Are the ghat roads hard on those prone to motion sickness?
- The winding climbs can be, so we keep a steady pace and take breaks. Carry any preferred medication if you are sensitive.
- Will we see waterfalls?
- Waterfalls like Sirimane are seasonal and best during and just after the monsoon. We will plan stops based on the time of year and conditions.
